I popped into the supermarket today to pick up a few things that I normally can’t buy at my local produce or farmers’ market and came face to face with a life sized cut-out of chef Margaret Fulton promoting Mothers’ Day. This was rather confronting because my own mum actually bares a striking resemblance to Margaret Fulton. Good old Margaret Fulton stands for good homely food, always has and always will. And she always includes good quality fresh produce. I love her! (Maybe it has something to do with her looking so much like my mum).
So I thought it would be fun to see what home style meal mums would be served this Mother’s Day. Tell me what home grown veggie you’d use and the sort of meal you’d cook it in for your mum. I’ll send a packet of seeds out for the best comments.

My mum always served me meat and 3 veg when I was growing up and it was always overcooked. So I’m going to serve her my home grown broccoli soft and soggy – just the way she likes it!
