It was a fantastic weekend full of inspiration for gardeners and organic enthusiasts alike. Hearing that the organic industry has defied the Global Economic Crisis and almost doubled it’s turnover in the last couple of years is staggering. Great to see people supporting a healthy and vibrant industry.
Loads of fun was had by all and there were plenty of organic food and wines to samples. We had inspiring talks from top chefs as well as gardening gurus but I especially loved seeing the kids get behind the “Dig Your Dinner” school garden competition.
It was particularly enjoyable seeing the smiles on the faces of those first-timers reveling in the variety of organic and green products available now. A big “thanks” goes out to everyone who stopped by our stand (even just to ask how to stop possums destroying their garden or what they could start to grow now).
